Enterprising Women
An initiative by a company along with local NGO's to promote skill training for women self-help groups provides for alternate livelihood opportunities to enhance household income. Women in rural India are a significant and effective workforce. Their active participation in economic and social activities brings changes that positively impact society. This project aims to empower by providing them opportunities to own and manage small enterprises for sustainable livelihood opportunities. Some of these activities include setting up of papad making enterprise, providing livestock, orchard development, smart irrigation techniques, water harvesting techniques, providing paper plate making machines, setting up of sewing machines to set up a small tailoring enterprise. These initiatives have covered several women throughout various villages of Rural India
